Butterdish
A domed stoneware butter dish thrown on the wheel using a grey stoneware clay with specks of lava. Glazed in a semi matte oatmeal which depending on the thickness of the glaze can show semi matte and matte variations on the dish.
The butter can sit either on the dish where the grooves are intended to stop it from slipping around, or in the dome itself. The dome part is intentionally thrown slightly thicker in order to retain a cooler fridge temperature and prevent the butter from melting too quickly while on the table.
As each piece is unique and handmade there may be subtle differences from one item to the next, especially the grooved dishes. Photographs can be sent of specific dishes on request.
Dishwasher-proof with a food-safe glaze which is unique and was formulated by Sarah and rigorously tested.
